I was wondering how popular Battlestations: Pacific will be on xbox live because if the multiplayer is going to be scarce of players, perhaps I should buy Fallout 3 instead? Your thoughts? Is Battlestations: Pacific a B game that ...
Don't know. I tried the demo and liked it and think that if I had the full game I would likely only play it online. Is Battlestations: Pacific a B game that ...
I'm sure that very few people are going to be online playing it
It might be. I found the first one kinda boring but then again I did not give it that much of a chance. This game will have a community but don't expect Halo 3 or COD 4 numbers.
I just played Battlestation: Midway a little while ago to see what they were like since Pacific is due out in a couple of days/now. It was a pretty cool game but it has issues. Switching between units was super easy. Issueing orders and setting AI of your troops wasnt that great. Having damage control set to nuetral was worthless so you also have to run around at the beginning and set those for ships.
Well let me just skip to the worst part, It took forever to sink enemy ships but it seemed like it was super easy for them to sink yours. Nothing sucks more than to spend 30-60 minutes wiping out stuff in a theatre of operations with planes only to have 2 enemy ships pop up, charge your command ship who has two other ships for protection and watch it just get nuked and lose the mission.
I wish they would take this engine and make a pirate game out of it.
I tried it. As much as I like WWII games I just couldn't get into it.
I really liked it but I think if your deciding whether or not to get Fallout 3 or Battlestations then Fallout 3 is a must buy. So go with Fallout 3 now, maybe pick up Battlestations when it comes down in price.
