I'm playing combat evolved and I have a couple questions.1. Does health regenerate? It seems like it does (when my health is low and I hide out for a couple minutes, it goes back up), but I read that it doesn't.2. What do the red cross boxes do? I run over them and nothing seems to happen?A couple of Halo questions.
1. Your shields regenerates, your health does not.
2. Those red boxes are ''first aid'' kits for your health so that if your low on it it regenerates some of it if you walk over it.
The health meter is removed after the first Halo, the last 2 just rely on the shield bar.A couple of Halo questions.

This is correct.
Also, is there a particular reason why I have different weapons at the start of some levels even though I never switched them out?

are u new to games at all? cause this is just one question that should not be asked. you usually start a new mission with a different gun, there are some guns that you will get more than others, but it is usually mission dependant....like almost any other FPS ever made

But yeah usually at the start of a new level you will have new weapons, or there will be new weapons laying around for you to pick up if you still have the ones from the last level.

I kinda like the way it is in 3 better actually
what i missed about the health boxes is watching poeple scramble for them. especially in hang em high. they made th game more strategic.

Me too. I liked Halo CE's health system the best. I don't know why they decided to dumb it down.

Probably because there were to many instances where a player would engage another, kill them, and lose half their health in the process. That would give whoever has full health a slight advantage.
That player would probably run away too, and who likes people who run away in halo? I sure as hell don't.

When you think about it, the med kits dont fit with using them on an enhanced soldier like masterchief. I can see where the med kits fit in HALO:ODST with the human characters.

thanks dad
I am new to FPS's. The only other FPS I have played was BioShock, and in that game, the weapon I was using didn't disappear at the end of the level. I thought I would have to manually switch weapons rather than it automatically doing it.And thanks to everyone who were helping in answering my questions and not being rude!
