Gears of war 1 or 2 online

What do you prefer for online? I like Gears of war1 because EPIC was supposed to have fixed the lag problem, have they? no. with Gears of war 1 you could at least get a descent connectionGears of war 1 or 2 online

Both experiences feel overall clunky and unnatural to me and both are plagued by horrible lag. Although I played Gears 1 for a while and was pretty good online, I got tired of the whole experience - third person, jumping around and doing somersaults to dodge shotgun blasts, being able to stick into cover from far away which immediately pulls you into cover and out of harm's way, and being able to suck someone in to your chainsaw like a giant vacuum cleaner from several feet away.
The 2nd one since the shotgun isn't nearly as OP as it was in the first one. The magic nuclear flash nades still kind of ruin the 2nd one though.
I think its a completely different experience between the two. I prefer Gears 2.
I'm honestly not sure, I enjoy both of them online, I played GeOW1 a lot more than GeOW2 so I'm gonna have to go with that. Plus the shotgun on GeOW2 was broken last time I checked, they may have fixed it since then but I don't know.
Gears 2, I do hate those smoke gernades and frag mines though
I prefer post-patches gears 2, but Gears 1 was better out of the box.

Gears 2. More maps, more game types, more players, more weapons, more gameplay options. After the three updates Gears 2 got I'd go as far as to say it's lessy glitchy than the original. I'll admit though I have more fond memories from the original. My friends just kinda stopped playing Gears 2 cold turkey after December. But with Gears 1 we all played non stop till Halo 3 came out and had a renaissance shortly before Gears 2 came.

Completely agreed. Plus, the lag seems to be much worse in Gears 2.
Gears 1 it had a much faster pace to it, the things that made number twos online not as good are the trip mines which slow down the pace, shields, being able to use peoples bodies as shields, and the damn smoke gernades. If they take all of those away gears 2 is better online
One thing i find odd is why they slowed the running speed down online because it was fast in singleplayer.Its not an issue but i do wonder why it was changed.
