What's you Scariest game moment? (The mo ...

Mines was when I was playing F.E.A.R. (I know every moment in that game is freaky). So I walk to a ledge and see a ladder, I look behind me and there is nothing but darkness. So I make my way down the ladder. Right when I turn my body and start to head down, I see Alma standing where I was just standing on the ledge looking at me. Let's just say I have never been so bugged out in a game b/f.What's you Scariest game moment? (The mo ...
Alma crawling out of the cubicle in the first FEAR. Course it's not scary now, but for the first time at night...damn.What's you Scariest game moment? (The mo ...
Awhile back when Doom 3 came out and i heard those babies screaming
This is going to sound silly - now that I think about it - in Left 4 dead when you're waiting for something to happen - I got attacked all of a sudden! I jumped out of my friend's couch and screamed. Now I feel ridiculous. Murr.
The first time I found Mr. Tibbets in the locker in Condemned: Criminal Origins was pretty scary. That and virtually every moment of gameplay in Dead Space lol, facing the indestructible necromorph in the room with all the other necromorphs attacking is definitely worth mentioning.
Doom 3, gave me nightmares for a week after finishing the game.
The game that definitely scared me the most is the original Clock Tower on the SNES... Long story short, you're being chased by a demon child with giant ass scissors(Scissorman) and you have no way of fighting back so you have to depend on hiding spots...So Scissorman was after me. It always scares me when he's chasing me because you have to be really fast in thinking and find a room to hide in ASAP. Nervous and jittery I ran into the nearest room. The chase music stops, and I think I'm okay... Then out of a box IN THAT ROOM I RAN INTO pops out SCISSORMAN. I yelled, paused, yelled, calmed down... And as the title suggests, said ''What the fu--''As for more modern horror games, I haven't really played any... Silent Hill Homecoming never scared me once as far as I can remember(Still a good game in my books). Need to pick up, rent, or at least borrow Dead Space / Condemned one day.Edit: Just thinking about it, I remember after playing Clock Tower when I was trying to sleep I would hear those freaking scissors... Cling... Cling... CliOHMYGAWSHAHHHHH
if you have played half life 2, i'm sure you know there are no ''scary'' moments. the combine can be freaky at times but its not the point where your having a heart attack. but what i do have to say is kind of disturbing and can be a little scary is the very beginning of ravenholm. if you have never been there, and you are just coming to visit.. you will definitely be a little edgy.
On Resident Evil 2... I was searching the interview rooms downstairs and ran past the two way mirror that allows people to see in from the other room I'd already searched, collected the object on the shelf having thought ''That's awesome... they even included my reflection as I ran past'' only to have a licker burst through the window as I ran back.Recently... well, I finally got round to playing Dead Space.
yeah i know exactly what your talking about. that is moments after you are walking down the narrow hallway and the zombies break through the boarded up window and grab you. yes!!
Chapter 3-2 of Resident Evil 5. The shaman village. I was playing by myself, and see the guys with the huge tribal masks on. I started thinking ''Hah, these guys can't be that tough.''

They go ''Woobie woobie woobie'' and start swinging their clubs around, and I ran away, FAST. It's doesn't take mcuh from those guys to kill you.
The ''mannequin scene'' in Condemned. I won't ruin it for those who haven't played it yet but it really got me. I actually shouted several expletives randomly.
yeah i know exactly what your talking about. that is moments after you are walking down the narrow hallway and the zombies break through the boarded up window and grab you. yes!!
And the dogs through the windows in the original, the Nemesis or Mr X crashing through a wall to get to you, the fight in the back of the airplane in Code Veronica... in fact so many great moments that will be absent from RE5 because they've ditched the survival horror element.Resident Evil is no longer the great game that I remember it to be, the great game that made me buy a PlayStation in the first place and then a Dreamcast.
that would be the first time i saw the lickers in resident evil 5...at 2 in the morning....

AllI heard was loud music and growling, so I figured nothing I can't handle right?, Wrong. He came flying at me with full force and gave me one good hit that sent me across the office. Also the moments when the tank is sitting around a corner waiting for you w/o any music. This is how it goes usually: ''Hey let me go in this house and see if there is any......... WHAT THE F#$@'' *Growl* *Smack* ''I'm Dead''
It has to be the First Time I encounter the Berserker on G.O.W. Wasn't the same after that night. LOL Good times

Yep I was thinking of that one too, pretty **** up sh1t.

The baby dolls that crawl on the ground and explode in Bloodshot are pretty scary too. So is the whole HOLY SH1T THAT'S A BEAR moment.
i was playing doom 3 with a buddy of mine, but be4 i tell you what happen you need to know thisi had already beaten the game many times so me and my friend were joking aroundim a scary game veteran and my friend is a little more cowardly (thats a nicer way to put it) and never really plays emnow that thats outta the way, i was playing, he was watching, and we were both talkingi was just tearing thru the game, turn a corner *BLAM* HEADSHOT shotgunturn another corner *BLAM* HEADSHOT shotgunand i was saying something to the effect of ''see, the game isnt that scary when you know where everything is''almost on queue, i looked down this corner, see nothing, look away, hear something, turn towards the corner again, and a demon thing just lunges at meand we were both were like ''HOLY ****''we both jumpedand then we just started laughin our asses offyou had to be there (no amount of detail can put you in the moment) but it was funny and scary
Condemned Criminal Origins, first game to send chills down my spine

you are absolutely right. there is so much more to games than just graphics anymore. they need to think of how the game has evolved, and how it can keep the same horror/survival elements. thinking back at all the resident evil games just amazes me, and i agree it is the reason why i got a playstation and a dreamcast. its hard to say which is my favorite cause they are all great. 1 - mansion. 2 - police station. 3 - the nemesis (police station again) 4 - code veronica ( the tyrant)
